On a cross-border run, the paperwork and the queue at each post decide the timing. Both are planned for, and the window is quoted accordingly.

A cross-border load needs more documents than a domestic one, including transit papers and product classification. The receiving country’s rules are checked as well.
Waiting time at a border post is the largest variable in a regional delivery, so lead time is quoted movement by movement.
